Tanghin-Dassouri: The High Commissioner of Kadiogo Province, Maurice Konat©, officially launched on Thursday in Tanghin-Dassouri, the process of developing the Communal Development Plan (PCD) 2026-2030, in a participatory and inclusive dynamic.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative is part of the desire of the municipal authorities to provide Tanghin-Dassouri with a strategic tool to respond to current social, economic, and security challenges. The meeting brought together representatives of the administration, decentralized technical services, civil society organizations, community structures, development partners, and customary and religious leaders.
"With the development of this new PCD, Tanghin-Dassouri has chosen to look towards a better future, based on clear, realistic and shared objectives," said Mr. Konat©. He urged stakeholders to ensure that the document is the result of a participatory and equitable process that takes into account the specific needs of all social strata.
The High Commissioner emphasized the importance of integrating the concerns of various groups such as young people, women, people living with disabilities, agricultural producers, traders, students, and the elderly. The first vice-president of the special communal delegation of Tanghin-Dassouri, Boureima Belemnaba, noted that the PCD is a critical instrument for guiding local development actions, serving as a compass for planning investments and mobilizing resources needed for municipal projects.
This step marks the beginning of a process aimed at creating a consensual, inclusive, and operational document to effectively guide local public action over the next five years.
