Gnagna: The Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Gnagna organized, on March 3 and 4, 2026 in Bogande, a training session on the use of SIGEC software for the benefit of coordinators, presidents and vice-presidents of jury as well as data entry operators of the Basic Education Districts (CEB).
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative aims to strengthen the technical skills of stakeholders in order to ensure efficient, transparent and secure management of school examinations in the province. The Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Gnagna brought together the main users of the Computerized System for the Management of Examinations and Competitions (SIGEC) around a capacity building session focused on technical mastery and data security.
The training covered the installation of the application, the personalization of accounts, including those of the main operator and the data entry operator, as well as the essential modules such as configuration, candidate registration, organization, data merging and database management. Particular emphasis has been placed on information security and good usage practices to prevent errors and ensure the reliability of results.
Through intensive practical work, participants were able to manipulate the tool and consolidate their knowledge, making them now capable of effectively carrying out their missions in their respective CEBs. The Provincial Director, Sylvain Thiombiano, commended the commitment and active participation of the participants. He emphasized the importance of adhering to quotas when selecting candidates for this exam session. He also urged the participants to continue practicing to enhance their skills and to demonstrate rigor and professionalism in their use of the software.
According to him, mastering SIGEC is an essential lever to guarantee an efficient, transparent and secure organization of examinations within the province of Gnagna.
