Ouagadougou: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo took part in a collective breaking of the Ramadan fast on Saturday evening, an event organized by the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina Faso (FAIB). During the gathering, he emphasized the importance of strengthening fraternity among all citizens of Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted Ramadan as a period dedicated to penance, prayer, and sharing, while also serving as an opportunity to cultivate brotherhood among the nation's people. He addressed worshippers from various religious backgrounds, underscoring the event's role in uniting Burkinabe beyond religious and ideological differences in a spirit of solidarity and community.

The Prime Minister expressed that the collective breaking of the fast celebrated the unity among Burkina Faso's daughters and sons, transcending religious and ideological convictions. He stressed that fostering this spirit of brotherhood is crucial for reinforcing national unity and aiding the return of peace to the country.

He commended the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina Faso for its dedication to promoting values of peace, social cohesion, and tolerance. "Peace will be the result of prayers, but also of the actions of every daughter and son of Burkina Faso," he remarked, emphasizing the need for unity and solidarity in overcoming national challenges.

The event was attended by notable figures including the President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, Ousmane Bougouma, several government officials, and Muslim worshippers. The theme for the gathering, "Ramadan: faith, solidarity and civic engagement in the service of peace in Burkina Faso," highlighted the significance of prayer, sharing, and calls to strengthen social cohesion and peace in the nation. The event also featured a communication focused on the theme of collective breaking of the fast.
