The PDS Encourages Agricultural Volunteers in Dourtenga to Implement Training


Ouagadougou: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dourtenga, Abdel Nasser Diarra, received 15 agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) at the town hall’s meeting room.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the spokesperson for the agricultural VDP, Tilado Segda, expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues for the training opportunity provided by the authorities. He detailed the modules covered during the capacity-building session and assured that the knowledge gained would be utilized to support the government’s goals in agricultural production and food self-sufficiency.



The VDP representative also presented some concerns to the municipal head, which were satisfactorily addressed, enhancing their determination. Abdel Nasser Diarra urged the participants to apply the lessons learned and to act as role models in their communities, sharing their knowledge to promote good agricultural practices.



The PDS highlighted the importance of the agricultural VDPs’ commitment to achieving food self-sufficiency and reaffirmed its support in assisting their activities. The meeting concluded amicably, with expressions of thanks and encouragement directed at the agricultural VDP for their patriotism and dedication to the commune’s development.
