Gourma: The Governor of the Goulmou region, Ram Joseph Kafando, chaired the third ordinary session of the Regional Dialogue Framework (CRD) on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in Fada N'Gourma. This session focused on the 2026 mid-term evaluation of the Regional Development Action Plans (PARD) for Goulmou, Sirba, and Tapoa.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event saw participation from administrative, military, and paramilitary authorities, technical and financial partners, humanitarian partners, and civil society representatives. CRD members reviewed mid-term performance reports from the three regions, focusing on sectors such as security, social cohesion, social protection, health and educational infrastructure development, agricultural support, employment promotion, and strengthening local governance.

Governor Ram Joseph Kafando stated that as of June 30, 2026, out of 417 planned actions across the three regions, 120 have been completed and 81 are ongoing, indicating a physical execution rate of 39%. Financially, expenditures have reached 11.572 billion FCFA out of a projected 25.5 billion FCFA, reflecting a financial execution rate of 46%.

The governor commended the dedication of technical services, local authorities, projects and programs, civil society organizations, and local communities for their continued efforts in implementing the PARDs despite challenging circumstances. He urged all involved parties to increase their efforts in resource mobilization, expedite procurement procedures, enhance the operational capacities of security forces, and improve collaboration with combat forces to meet the year's end goals.
