Ouagadougou: A two-week training session in transcription and didactics of bi-plurilingual education disciplines, organized in the national language Moor, began Friday at the Ramongo-Tanguen B school for the benefit of 66 school directors and teachers holding CP1 classes.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the opening ceremony of the session was presided over by the head of primary education, Inspector Issoufou Oudraogo, alongside 21 supervisors from the Basic Education District (CEB). Inspector Oudraogo emphasized the significance of the training as part of reforming the Burkinab¨ school system and improving education quality. He highlighted the importance of national languages in learning, knowledge transmission, and cultural heritage promotion.

Ouedraogo stated that the bi-multilingual formula offers an opportunity for educators to enhance their teaching skills and classroom practices. He encouraged participants to use the training as a platform for sharing experiences and building capacities.

The session aims to strengthen the capacities of teachers and school principals for successful implementation of the harmonized formula of bi-multilingual education, facilitating its reinvestment within schools. Specifically, it focuses on familiarizing participants with the bi-plurilingual education formula, orthographic writing rules of Moor, and reference documents.

The training will also cover teaching approaches and lesson plan evaluation. Participants are encouraged to consolidate their linguistic and pedagogical knowledge to effectively use reference documents and lesson preparation materials.
