Ouagadougou ,the triple jump world champion, Burkinabè Hugues Fabrice Zango, has been named best international athlete of the year by his club, Artois-Athlétisme (France), we learned from sources close to the athlete.

It was during the traditional general assembly on Saturday October 28 in Bruay-La-Buissière that the recognition ceremony took place.

“My adventure within this family began in 2016, and it is far from over,” said Hugues Fabrice Zango.

He expressed his “gratitude to the President of the club, Ms. Marion Wiesztort, the Mayor of Bruay-La-Buissière, Mr. Ludovic Pajot, as well as to all the members of Artois Athlétisme”.
