Tuy: The provincial directorate of secondary education is mobilizing its staff around the payment of taxes on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Hounde. This initiative marks the first phase of the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Tuy Provincial Directorate of Secondary, Vocational and Technical Education is actively participating in the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation. The event, which commenced on March 27, 2026, with the national flag-raising ceremony, included a dedicated day for promoting exemplary tax compliance on April 1.
During this event, the provincial director, Seydou Traore, along with all staff members, demonstrated their commitment by fulfilling their tax obligations, including the payment of residence and motor vehicle taxes. Mr. Traore emphasized the critical role of taxes in national development, highlighting their contribution to national sovereignty and essential infrastructure projects, such as schools, roads, and healthcare facilities. He encouraged his staff to consistently meet their tax responsibilities.
The event also featured a dialogue with Tuy's tax collector, Seydou Sourabie, who educated participants about the various types of taxes, including personal taxes. He praised the initiative and expressed gratitude to the provincial administration for its efforts in staff mobilization. Seydou Sourabie reiterated the vital role of taxes in financing state expenditures, especially as Burkina Faso increasingly depends on its own resources.
