Tuy Municipality of Founzan Donates Over 2 Million FCFA for Hound Medical Center Paving

Ouagadougou: The municipality of Founzan, located in the province of Tuy, made a significant contribution of over two million FCFA on August 8, 2026, to support the paving operation for the Medical Center with a surgical unit (CMA) in Hound.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the contribution, valued at 2,182,500 FCFA, included ten tons of cement, a load of sand, wheelbarrows, shovels, and a cash donation of 720,000 FCFA. Beyond the financial and material support, approximately one hundred residents from Founzan actively participated in the paving work at the CMA site.

The delegation from Founzan, led by Wahabo Kabor, the president of the special communal delegation (PDS), included Aboubacar Coulibaly, the initiative's sponsor, and Mamavo Bay, the village chief. The Founzan PDS emphasized the strong mobilization of the community in support of the paving initiative spearheaded by the High Commissioner of Tuy, highlighting the commitment and willingness of the people to contribute to local development efforts.

Aboubacar Coulibaly expressed gratitude towards the residents for their active participation and urged continued support from various community sectors. Dieudonn Zeida, the Secretary General of Tuy Province, acknowledged the contribution and praised the Founzan community's example, encouraging other communes in the province to emulate Founzan's efforts for the successful paving of the Hound CMA.
