Boromo: The Republican Security Company (CRS) of the city of Boromo arrested, during the night of Sunday, April 5, 2026 in Poura, two individuals suspected of drug use and trafficking. One of the suspects was found in possession of 59 bags of cannabis and 91,000 CFA francs. Both individuals were taken to the Boromo central police station for further investigation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the commander of the CRS camp in Boromo, Police Captain Serge Dambr©, stated that the suspects were apprehended one after the other around midnight by a patrol team. Initial contact with the first person arrested confirmed suspicions of a drug-related connection.
The man found in possession of the largest quantity of cannabis, aged 47, had doses packaged in small, carefully prepared sachets, suggesting he was supplying a network of users in the town. Police also found 91,000 CFA francs on him.
The second suspect, a man in his thirties, was also found in possession of two bags of marijuana. His arrest helped facilitate the patrol team's investigation.
Those arrested were handed over to the Boromo central police station in the afternoon for further proceedings. At the same time, the police are calling on the public to report any suspicious individuals caught in the act of using narcotics to the nearest security services.
