Hounde: The village of Danaoua demonstrates its support for Captain Ibrahim Traore during the inauguration of a roundabout. The citizen watch of the village of Danaoua, in the commune of Gourcy, organised, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, a meeting marking the inauguration of a roundabout dedicated to the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by Saidou Mande, First Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Commune of Gourcy, who urged the population to remain united and in solidarity in the face of current challenges. He specifically called on them to "remain mobilized to overcome all obstacles that could hinder the country's progress towards true sovereignty."
The provincial coordinator of citizen watch in Zondoma, Oumarou Ouedraogo, for his part, praised the initiative of the young people and the active forces of the village of Danaoua who mobilized to erect this roundabout, a symbol of their commitment and support for the country's authorities. "Today's mobilization is proof of your determination to support the actions of the authorities for the reconquest of the territory and the return of peace," he said.
The roundabout bearing the effigies of Captain Ibrahim Traore was dedicated to him in recognition of his efforts in favor of the reconquest of the territory and national sovereignty. To show their solidarity with those fighting against insecurity, the participants launched a spontaneous fundraising campaign which raised a whopping 37,075 FCFA.
