Volunteers in Banfora Produce Over 3,000 Paving Stones for City Projects

Banfora:Nearly 350 volunteers from the Public Interest Group-National Volunteer Program in Burkina Faso (GIP-PNVB) produced more than 3,000 paving stones at the Faso Mbo Agency site in the Tannounyan region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this effort is part of three major initiatives launched in Banfora, including the "Blank Cleanup," the "Do nou" operation, and a caravan on active citizenship. The initiatives aim to engage volunteers in activities that benefit the community.

Yaya Traor, head of the project formulation department of GIP-PNVB, expressed appreciation for the mobilization of volunteers who also participated in a cleanup operation at the Flantama medical center. Yakouba Barro, chairman of the committee for receiving and managing donations at the Faso Mbo Agency, highlighted that the production of paving stones will aid in the city's beautification projects, following a shortage.

Comrade Barro emphasized that the volunteer effort will help replenish paving stone stocks and allow ongoing work on a street in Banfora to continue. Volunteers like Abdoul Faycal Zour view their participation as a contribution to the country's development, while Mariam Traor/Ouattara urged citizens to support initiatives for Burkina Faso's development and sovereignty.
