Ouagadougou: The We-Buamu association is set to organize the inaugural 'Buamu Sinh Cultural Expression Days' from April 25 to 27, 2025, aiming to showcase and promote the rich traditions of the Bwaba culture. The event, which will be held at the Jean-Pierre Guingan© Youth and Culture Palace, will feature the Fulani community as the guest of honor.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the festival's theme, 'Bwaba culture, resilience and peace in Burkina Faso,' underscores its focus on the preservation and enhancement of Bwaba centuries-old traditions, art, and history. Nabi© Bi YEKE, president of the We-Buamu association, emphasized that the event will include a variety of activities such as conferences, panels, mask dances, artistic performances, and a shopping gallery, all designed to highlight Bua cultural expressions.
The involvement of the Fulani community as the guest of honor aims to foster unity, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence among the diverse cultures of Burkina Faso. This edition of the festival will be chaired by the Minister of Urban Planning and Housing, Mikailou Sidib©, and will have the high patronage of His Majesty the Chief of D©dougou, as well as the co-patronage of His Majesty Moogho Naaba Baongo. The event also enjoys the patronage of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
