“We will continue to work with Burkina for peace and stability”, United Nations

United Nations Under-Secretary-General (SGA), Leonardo Santos Simas, said Thursday that his institution will continue to work with Burkina Faso for peace and stability.

“We will continue to work with Burkina for peace and stability,” said Thursday, the Deputy Secretary General (SGA) of the United Nations, Leonardo Santos Simas, leaving the audience with the Prime Minister, Me Appolinaire. Joachimson Kyelem de Tambela.

For him, his institution will work in partnership with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the African Union (AU) and other sub-regional institutions or organizations for peace in Burkina.

The United Nations SGA specified that the exchanges also focused on the political, economic and social situation in Burkina and the support of its institution to the peace effort.

He also indicated that Burkina Faso and the United Nations will come up with concrete plans for intervention on the ground to the delight of the people of Burkina Faso.
