Wenlassida Romain Consimbo Takes Charge of Ziro’s Family and Solidarity Directorate

Sandbondtenga: The Ziro Provincial Directorate of Family and Solidarity has a new head. Wenlassida Romain Consimbo officially took office on Tuesday in Sapouy, during a handover ceremony presided over by the province's Secretary General, Adams Davou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Wenlassida Romain Consimbo was appointed on April 2, 2026, succeeding Severin Bakala, who has been called to other duties after three years of service deemed "loyal and fruitful." The outgoing director received unanimous praise from his colleagues, who described him as "a good teacher to his students," recognizing his leadership and commitment to serving vulnerable populations.

In his closing remarks, Severin Bakala expressed his delight at the results achieved with the support of his colleagues and partners. He noted that, under his leadership, 21 staff members helped provide assistance to over 49,000 vulnerable individuals. He also highlighted the opening of four municipal social services, bringing social action closer to the people. Bakala extended his gratitude to the administrative authorities and colleagues, urging for strengthened solidarity to address ongoing challenges in the social sector.

Wenlassida Romain Consimbo, the new provincial director, thanked the highest authorities for the trust placed in him and acknowledged the mission's magnitude. He affirmed his commitment to transparency, patriotism, and collaboration, calling for coordinated action with decentralized state services. Consimbo emphasized vigilance and proactive measures to better address the needs of vulnerable populations.

Adams Davou, the provincial secretary general, presided over the ceremony, commending the outgoing director's achievements and congratulating him on the results obtained. He assured the new director of the administration's full support in carrying out his mission. This handover marks the beginning of a new dynamic in implementing social actions in the province of Ziro, aiming to strengthen solidarity and social inclusion.
