Ouahigouya:The governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, led the commemorative ceremony marking the fourth anniversary of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) on Wednesday, September 30, at the Place de la R©volution.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event saw participation from all the constituted bodies of the region and a large public gathering. Citizens from the four northern provinces of Burkina Faso expressed their continued confidence and support for the head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, and his government.
The ceremony featured musical artists, citizen watch actors, and representatives of civil society who showcased their talents in recognition of the commitment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). They also paid tribute to fallen fighters, including Soumala Ganam, known as Ladji Yoro.
In coordination with Burkina Faso Radio and Television (RTB), attendees listened to a message from the Head of State, delivered by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Oudraogo. The ceremony highlighted the achievements of the RPP over the past four years, which were met with applause from the audience.
Sanata Oudraogo, the special envoy to the Presidency of Faso, commended all participants for their dedication to the country's development. Similarly, Assami Guiro, president of CNAVC/Yatenga, praised the mobilization of revolution defenders since the event's announcement.
The governor, along with other officials, attended the event from 6 p.m. to 215 a.m., acknowledging the efforts of the people and organizers for the successful execution of the Night of the RPP.
