The Secretary General of the Tuy province, Bassidiki Ouattara participated, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in the cleaning of the town hall of Houndé. This sanitation operation is part of the activities of the 20th National Citizenship Week in Houndé.
Young people and women from Houndé, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Tuy province, Bassidiki Ouattara, representing the High Commissioner Issiaka Segda, cleaned up the town hall premises on Thursday October 26, 2023.
Equipped with shovels, rakes, machetes, wheelbarrows and other cleaning equipment, these young people and women came out in large numbers to clear the town hall courtyard of tall grass and other bulky garbage.
According to the youth representative, Amadou Waigalo, this activity is part of the National Citizenship Week (SENAC) in Houndé.
“Many of us came out to make our contribution to the sanitation of our town hall,” he said.
According to him, the activity was also used to ask young people to cultivate on a daily basis the values of patriotism, non-violence and to call for the sacred union of the Burkinabè.
The SGP, Bassidiki Ouattara welcomed the mobilization of young people for this civic act. He invited them to perpetuate this civic behavior to keep our living environment healthy, especially during this period marked by dengue fever in Houndé.
Mr. Ouattara also urged young people to promote respect for the public good and to appropriate the Burkinabè identity.
