Ioba: Youth sensitized to the ideals of the progressive and popular revolution. This youth awareness session on the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution (PPR) took place in the Dissihn town hall meeting room.

According to Burkina Information Agency, at the opening ceremony, the First Vice-President of the Special Municipal Delegation, Kourb¨kour¨ Gaoussou Hien, invited participants to pay close attention to the presentations and urged them to seek information from credible sources rather than social media.

The local chief also participated in the event, offering customary blessings. The Provincial Director of Youth and Employment for the Ioba region, Adou Sanou, delivered the presentation. He indicated that, since the official announcement of the PPR in April 2025 by national authorities, his ministry has instructed decentralized structures to raise awareness among young people about its foundations and objectives.

His presentation focused on four points: the desired type of Burkina Faso, the concept of the PPR, the reforms undertaken and presidential initiatives, and the role of youth. According to the communicator, the RPP aims for a break with past practices, the restoration of national sovereignty and the promotion of progressive and inclusive development.

He also addressed the internal and external risks associated with this process, before detailing the ongoing reforms and the six presidential initiatives. Turning to the role of youth, Mr. Sanou presented seven areas of youth engagement in the implementation of the revolution. The presentation was followed by a discussion, during which participants asked several questions. The participants welcomed the initiative.

According to them, this conference allowed them to better understand the outlines of the progressive and popular revolution, a guarantee of patriotic commitment.
