Boulgou:Philibert Pouya, head of the Zabr 1 Basic Education District, has called on parents to become more involved in their children's education as the 2026-2027 school year begins.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Pouya outlined the district's objectives and emphasized the importance of parental engagement. Classes resumed on October 1st, with administrative preparations starting on September 15, 2026. Teacher mobilization has been successful, with no reported absences, and administrative staff are actively supporting back-to-school activities.
Pouya highlighted the problem of parents not following up on their children's education after the first day of school, stressing the need for their moral and psychological support throughout the year. He encouraged parents to visit schools, interact with teachers, and support their children's learning environment, noting that such involvement can motivate teachers and enhance educational outcomes.
He also extended his congratulations to colleagues for achieving the best results in the Boulgou province's primary school certificate exams and expressed gratitude to all contributors. Pouya hopes the new school year will build on past successes and continue implementing educational innovations.
