Bazga:Residents of the Gaongo commune have donated four motorcycles and a fuel voucher worth 150,000 CFA francs to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). The donation ceremony was held at the Gaongo territorial gendarmerie brigade as part of the "One Village, At Least One Motorcycle for the VDP" initiative.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was overseen by Salam Dondass, the first vice-president of the special delegation of the municipality. Other notable attendees included Marc Dango, the secretary general of the town hall, Issouf Kabr, the Chairman of the operation committee, and P. Dieudonn Oudraogo, the commander of the Gaongo territorial gendarmerie brigade.
The residents of the commune collectively provided the motorcycles and fuel in response to an appeal made under the operation. Comrade Dondass commended the traditional chiefs and the community's strong support for their involvement.
The VDP, through their representative, expressed their appreciation for the donation, emphasizing that the vehicles would greatly enhance the safety of the population and the municipal territory.
Brigade Commander Comrade Oudraogo expressed his gratitude to the local community for their contribution and assured that the donated equipment would be used effectively.
