Zondoma: The New Director of Youth Aims for Participation and Inclusion

Zondoma: The new provincial director of sports, youth, and employment, W. Augustin Ou©draogo, has committed to executing his responsibilities diligently and efficiently. Appointed during the Council of Ministers on March 19, 2026, Ou©draogo, who is an advisor in employment and vocational training, is tasked with leading the newly merged provincial directorate. This directorate combines the portfolios of sports and leisure with youth and employment, following their merger in November 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Ou©draogo was officially inaugurated into the position on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, by the province's High Commissioner, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab©. In his address, Nab© expressed the administration's support and confidence in Ou©draogo, emphasizing the strengthened mission at hand. He highlighted the importance of youth in the ongoing Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP), urging the new director to engage the youth with the RPP's ideals and enhance sports activities within the province.

Ou©draogo is aware of the significant responsibilities before him and plans to tackle them with "exemplary conduct, administrative rigor, moral integrity, and patriotic commitment." He expressed his dedication to realizing the strategic objectives for sports, youth, and employment as outlined in his mission statement. He emphasized his reliance on the support from his superiors, colleagues, and partners to fulfill these goals effectively. Furthermore, he assumes responsibilities related to sports and leisure from his predecessor, Ousmane Nongnogo.
