Zoundweogo: The Special Delegation of Gogo examined and adopted several key documents for transparent, participatory, and effective governance of the commune during its first ordinary session of the year, held on March 30 and 31, 2026, under the leadership of its president, Issa Tiendrebeogo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the members of the special delegation, in a public session, proceeded to read, amend, and adopt the minutes of the previous session, along with the presentation of the special report 2025 of the president of the Special Delegation, the report of the authorising officer, and the report of the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs. The session also addressed issues relating to direct entry competitions and professional examinations. Participants reviewed and adopted the annual investment plan, the administrative account, and the management account for 2025, as well as the first amended budget for 2026.
The session concluded with the review and adoption of resolutions and the involvement of delegation members in mobilizing financial resources. After verifying the quorum, the minutes of the previous session were amended and adopted unanimously by the participants. During the deliberations, the adoption of the administrative account and the management account for 2025, as well as the first amending budget for 2026, were key topics of discussion.
Additionally, the members approved modifications to the municipal organisational chart in accordance with Law 024, which relates to the promotion and socio-professional integration of young people. In the miscellaneous information section, the president of the Special Delegation presented the organization of the Week of Patriotic Commitment, which includes activities such as raising national colours in schools and clean-up days.
This session highlights the commitment of local authorities to promote governance that is transparent, participatory, and effective, aimed at the development of the municipality of Gogo.
