Zoundwogo: The province of Zoundwogo achieved an exceptional performance in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) session of 2026, registering a success rate of 96.79%, thus exceeding the regional target set at 95%, indicated the provincial director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPPEPPNF), Dominique Dipama, who praised the commitment of all actors in the education system.
According to Burkina Information Agency, official results showed that 6,066 candidates out of 6,267 who sat the regular exams were admitted. Including independent candidates, the province had a total of 6,160 admitted out of 6,363 who sat the exams, representing an overall pass rate of 96.81%.
The top provincial education official expressed satisfaction with the performance, noting the challenge met at all stages of the organization of the exam. The administration of the written, oral, and sporting tests, as well as the correction and secretarial operations, went smoothly due to the commitment of the stakeholders and adherence to instructions.
The DPPEPPNF acknowledged the support from security forces, health services, school councils, special delegations, and territorial administration, which facilitated the smooth running of the session. Among regular candidates, girls achieved a success rate of 96.59% compared to 97.05% for boys.
In the provincial ranking of Basic Education Districts (CEB), Br occupied first place with a success rate of 99.50%, followed by Guiba (98.88%), Gogo (97.98%), and Bind (97.68%). Manga and Gon-Boussougou recorded success rates of 96.41% and 95.70% respectively, while Nobr, last in the ranking, posted a rate of 93.69%.
The provincial director attributed these results to the efforts of teachers, school principals, educational supervisors, parents, and local authorities. He emphasized the collective work of all actors who contributed throughout the school year and offered them congratulations and gratitude.
No major difficulties were encountered during the session, and minor constraints were quickly resolved without impacting operations. Building on this result, the DPPEPPNF invited all stakeholders to maintain this momentum to consolidate gains and further improve academic performance in future sessions.
