Zoundw©ogo/Tabaski 2026: Imam Idrissa Kabr© Calls on the Muslim Faithful of Guiba to Be More Responsible and Closer to God

Zoundw©ogo: Imam Idrissa Kabr© of Guiba urged Muslim faithfulness on Wednesday to draw closer to God and to show responsibility in their daily actions during the celebration of Eid al-Adha, commonly known as the Tabaski festival. In his sermon, the community’s religious leader invited Muslim worshipers to strengthen their faith.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Imam Kabr© also advocated dialogue between the different communities in the municipality and called for a greater sense of responsibility in order to make Islam “a tool for setting an example and promoting a society of peace and positive otherness.” During this period of state restructuring, Imam Kabr© encouraged the entire community to support the Burkinabe authorities and to pray for social stability.

For Imam Kabr©, this festival is a time for sharing between neighbors, whether they are Muslim or not. Local authorities and religious leaders, in turn, called for this spirit of dialogue, responsibility, and sharing to be translated into sustainable actions for the well-being of the commune of Guiba and Burkina Faso.

After the services, the ceremony continued with the ritual immolation of the ram.
