Niger celebrates Year 1 of its idiosyncratic revolution, proudly and with prayers (commentary)

Ouagadougou: Nigeriens are experiencing a historic moment, in the hope of definitively defeating terrorist adversity and taking full and full advantage of their country’s resources.

The socio-political changes recorded in this country, given the insulting label of poor, like many other African states, are not the fault of the strategic-historical partners but just the fact of the Nigeriens themselves.

Neither Marxist, nor Leninism, nor Maoism, not even Castroist, the patriotic liberation movement which has animated Niger since July 26, 2023 is perfectly topical like the life of camelids in the Sahel.

Intervening following the advent of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP), this upheaval in the lives of Nigeriens can be summed up in a set of courageous, unprecedented decisions, carried out by determined men and supported by a resolute people. , resolved.

One of these historic decisions is the dismissal of French troops from Niger, troops which, just yesterday, under the command
of Voulet and Chanoine and with the strength of its militias and Negro soldiers, were furiously attacking the peaceful populations of Niger and not only.

After the dismissal of French soldiers and an ambassador who clung to his post as governor of the colonies, Queen Sarraounia and all those who sacrificed their lives in the defense of their lands in the face of colonial aggression had to embark, finally, for the kingdom of eternal rest.

And when the living are finally in harmony with their history, they return to the right path as easily and with relief as one recovers from a nightmarish sleep.

This relief fills with dignity the Nigerians who expressed it through prayers.

Indeed, yesterday July 25, at the great Gaddafi mosque in Niamey – well, Gaddafi – Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine and several spiritual leaders and leaders of civil society took part in a collective prayer to give thanks to God and ask for his support for the continuation of the fight of Nigeriens to exist and to flourish, like all peo
ples, victors or vanquished in the greatness of the great wars or the colonialist wars.

After the prayers, it’s time for the launch of the first edition of the ‘Al’Ada’ cultural week.

This large-scale cultural event is nothing more, nothing less than to celebrate the An1 of the CNSP in power and the proclamation of the independence of Niger.

Culture to commemorate and further affirm the independence of the country, it is undoubtedly proof of a profound change which arises from the depths of the aspirations of Nigeriens but also from the Sahel confederation.

This could be proof of nothing at all for the pessimists. But as the saying goes, the optimist sees fire where there is none, but why then does the pessimist rush to put it out?
