Bobo-Dioulasso: A delegation from Sidwaya editions, headed by the sales and marketing director, Moussa Congo, representing the general director (DG), paid a visit to Thomas Sanon, a loyal reader of the daily Sidwaya, on Thursday May 2, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. The objective of this visit was to convey the recognition of the Common House to this faithful reader. It is part of the 40th anniversary activities of the daily Sidwaya.From the 1990s to today, it has been more than 30 years since retired SOFITEX maintainer Thomas Sanon has always remained loyal to the Sidwaya newspaper.Indeed, a delegation from Editions Sidwaya went to meet him in sector 15, on Thursday May 2, 2024, at his home in Bobo-Dioulasso. During this visit, the delegation expressed its gratitude to the loyal reader of the state daily.'This visit responds to the responsibility of Sidwaya, as a public press committed to processing information for the benefit of all Burkinabè,' suggested sales and marketing director Moussa Congo.According to the representative of the general director, all Sidwaya staff are grateful to the readers of the Sidwaya newspaper, and are dedicated to satisfying them on a daily basis.Thomas Sanon is an example and a source of inspiration for Sidwaya staff, according to the representative of the general director.'We are motivated to know that there are people who read the Sidwaya newspaper every day,' he said.For retiree Thomas Sanon, his love for reading began in his workplace.'I went to work one day and saw some newspapers on the table and started looking through them. Immediately I saw that there was good information,' he explained.According to him, his subscription to the state daily is due to the reliability of the information transmitted daily by the newspaper.'I chose Sidwaya, to have true information, excluded from doubt and on time', meant the faithful reader.Listening to Thomas Sanon, since the 1990s he has had access to the Sidwaya newspaper without difficulty.'Nothing stops me, I do everythin g to have my newspaper,' he said.To face the challenges of the paper newspaper due to the advent of New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT), the sales and marketing director, Moussa Congo, reassured his reader that all measures are implemented to be able to keep the newspaper alive.Products such as Sidwaya digital and many others have diversified information channels to allow readers to always be informed.'In addition to the paper newspaper, we have developed other information channels to meet the demands of the moment and which are very reliable,' he confided.Initiatives that Thomas Sanon appreciated. However, the old reader of the state daily sticks to his paper newspaper.
