Ouagadougou:The association 'La Concession' hosted the 3rd edition of its School Excellence Day, recognizing 41 students in Sabtoana for their academic achievements in the 2025-2026 school and professional exams.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was overseen by Dr. Mohamadi Compaor, the national coordinator for the fight against fraud. Since 2018, La Concession has sought to enhance the lives of Sabtoana residents by promoting academic excellence in collaboration with families, teachers, Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), and School Management Committees (SMCs).

The association's president, Wenceslas Wasso Kota, remarked on the importance of academic merit as a cornerstone of community and national development. He acknowledged ongoing educational challenges and stressed the essential role of community involvement in supporting children's success, alongside government efforts like the Sectoral Plan for Education and Training (PSEF 2022-2031).

Awards were distributed based on educational achievements: 22 students who passed the CEP received school kits, 14 who passed the BEPC received school kits and helmets, three baccalaureate graduates received laptops, and two who completed professional exams received tool kits. Kota encouraged the students to use these resources to further their studies and careers, while also lauding the dedication of teachers and parents.

Mathieu Coulibaly, representing the event's sponsor, commended La Concession's dedication to youth empowerment. He highlighted the importance of community support in celebrating academic merit and reinforced the connection between excellence, effort, and integrity, urging students to avoid shortcuts and maintain honesty.

The ceremony concluded with a call to action for participants to uphold excellence and integrity as guiding principles for Sabtoana's youth and the broader community in Burkina Faso.
