Sebba: The President of the special delegation of Dori has urged the local population to fulfill their tax obligations during the first ordinary municipal session. This call was made by Moussa Eric Sawadogo, the Deputy Director of Social Development, as he presided over the session where the town's financial plans were discussed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session began with a presentation by Amadou Amadou, the town hall's accountant, who outlined the primary components of the budget. He detailed the forecasts and outlined both operating and investment expenditures. The presentation led to several inquiries from members of the special delegation, all of which were addressed satisfactorily.
Despite the informative session, the special delegation highlighted challenges in collecting operating revenue. The ongoing difficult security situation has hindered many residents from paying their taxes, impacting the town's financial health. As a result, the revised budget for revenue and expenditure, amounting to 317,410,957 francs, was adopted after thorough discussion.
The chairman expressed gratitude to those who contributed to revenue collection efforts and appealed to the delegation members to engage the community. This engagement aims to raise awareness about the importance of tax payments to bolster Sebba commune's financial stability.
