Burkina: The African Institute of Cultural Industries (IAIC) celebrates its 10th anniversary, reflecting on past achievements and future goals in front of former and new students. "For 10 years, we have been undertaking a project with the support of everyone. This 10th anniversary is a time for retrospection and introspection, reflection and future prospects," said Noel Sanou, founder of the African Institute of Cultural Industries (IAIC).
According to Burkina Information Agency, work is underway to evaluate what worked and what still needs to be improved. "We can affirm that the objectives that guided the creation of the African Institute of Cultural Industries are in line with the objectives of the national training policy geared towards the development of tertiary sectors and the professionalization of tertiary sector actors," indicated the representative of the sponsors, Celestin Ky.
Mr. Ky praised the vision behind the creation of the African Institute of Cultural Industries to offer young people and professionals innovative courses aimed at making social sciences, culture, tourism, hospitality, events, and communication job-creating sectors. The IAIC is commemorating its tenth anniversary under the theme: "Education in the economics of culture and mediation in the service of resilience."
Since its creation, the African Institute of Cultural Industries has trained 625 national and international students and professionals in the sector of human and social sciences and technologies, more specifically in the cultural industries, hospitality, tourism, event management, institutional and community communication, and conflict management.
In terms of teaching, the Institute is part of the bachelor's, master's, and doctorate (LMD) system.
