Gaoua: The Gaoua multipurpose hall hosted the grand finale of the 4th edition of the Gaoua Little Stars Festival (FESTIPEG), a cultural and educational event in the Southwest region which saw the city's "‚¬°cole D" secure the win.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the festival was held under the patronage of Siaka BARRO, president of the Southwest regional special delegation, and chaired by Siaka OUATTARA, president of the Gaoua communal special delegation. The event brought together five primary schools competing in various disciplines, including traditional and modern dance, theater, and slam.
Following the performances, "‚¬°cole D" emerged as the champion, claiming the festival trophy, a prize of more than 200,000 FCFA, and school supplies. The regional governor, Akpi¨tiza DABIR‚¬°, highlighted the significance of the initiative for the children's intellectual development, expressing his admiration for their talent and expression.
Flavien Dar Da, representing the promoter, extended his gratitude to the administrative, military, traditional, and religious authorities, as well as sponsors, partners, and stakeholders in the educational sector for their unwavering support. He encouraged others to contribute to the development of children and invited all primary schools to participate in future editions of FESTIPEG.
FESTIPEG, led by Bafuji Info under the leadership of Mathieu Da DALOU since 2022, aims to foster artistic expression and development among primary school students in Gaoua.
