Como© School Exams: Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara Calls for Compliance with Monitoring Framework for Supervision

Banfora: The Minister of Basic Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara, conducted a supervisory tour in Banfora on Friday, May 30, 2025, to evaluate the progress of preparations for the upcoming school exams. In a videoconference from the Paysan Noir city, he reviewed the organization of the 2025 CEP exam session with regional directors.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Regional Director of Basic Education, Literacy, and the Promotion of National Languages for Cascades reported that Banfora is well-prepared for a successful 2025 session. The director also commended the enhancements and effectiveness of the SIGEC software utilized for managing exam results.

The directors of the Regional Education for Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNFs) from the 12 other regions provided updates on their session preparations. The Sahel region, confronting significant security challenges, successfully transported exam subjects and personnel using helicopters. However, the helicopter transfer to locations where the CEP and BEPC exams are jointly organized is yet to be finalized.

In the East, preparations are almost on par with other regions, except for the organization of the CQP exam, which faces challenges in three locations due to an insufficient number of candidates. A potential catch-up session is under consideration.

Overall, the schedule for the various stages of exam organization is satisfactory, with emergency situations, such as helicopter transport and relocation, being addressed individually.

Minister Dingara emphasized the importance of adhering to the monitoring framework for supervising the exam session and highlighted the responsibility of each individual to justify the decentralization of certain prerogatives that remained centralized until the 2024 session.

Pleased with the current state of preparations, Minister Dingara congratulated and encouraged all participants. He also issued instructions for maintaining constant vigilance throughout the process. Additionally, he visited several examination centers to motivate candidates, advising them to remain calm and diligent in their efforts to succeed.
