Cascades: The Governor of the Cascades region, Badabou¨ Florent Bazi©, inaugurated the written exams for the 2025 Baccalaureate session in Banfora. This year, a total of 4,533 candidates are participating, distributed among 18 juries.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the candidate pool consists of 2,337 girls and 2,196 boys who are striving to earn their first university diploma in the 2025 session. The Governor, accompanied by administrative, educational, and security officials, unveiled the first exam subjects at juries 42 and 43, where candidates from series D and F3 are grouped. The first test subjects were French for Series D and Mathematics for Series F3.
Governor Bazi© extended his encouragement to the candidates, conveying best wishes on behalf of the Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training. He advised the candidates to maintain composure and avoid dishonest practices to achieve optimal outcomes.
The Regional Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Cascades, Alidou Karim Kon©, confirmed the smooth progress of the examination process. He reported no significant issues at present and expressed optimism for continual improvement.
He noted that this year's candidate tally marks a decrease from the previous year, which had approximately 4,690 candidates.
