Ouagadougou: The high-level delegation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its Institutions met with Burkina Faso's Minister of Security, H.E. Mr. Mahamadou Sana, on 14 August 2025. The meeting took place in the Minister's office in Ouagadougou.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Minister briefed the delegation on the progress in the country's security situation, attributing improvements to the government's efforts. He emphasized the importance of continued support from the OIC in addressing the internal displacement crisis caused by terrorist attacks and urged the Organization to intensify its efforts in combating terrorism.

The delegation expressed the solidarity of the OIC's Secretary-General and its Institutions, reaffirming the Organization's commitment to providing all possible support to Burkina Faso.
