CNAMC Concludes 2025 Artistic Vacation with 261 Trained Participants

Kadiogo/culture: The National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts of Culture (CNAMC) closed its 25th artistic vacation edition at the former INAFAC in Gounghin, with 261 participants trained across four main disciplines: music, dance, plastic arts, and crafts.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the CNAMC organizes art holidays during the school break to provide children the opportunity to learn and train in music, dance, visual arts, and arts and crafts. This program serves as a platform for both learning and entertainment through the arts.

"For 25 years now, the department in charge of culture has been organizing the Artistic Holidays. This activity has already made its mark on the cultural landscape of our country and constitutes an opportunity for learning and expression during the school holidays," stated the Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, represented by Technical Advisor, Adama Segda 1st Twin. He encouraged parents to prioritize arts education and motivate their children to participate extensively.

Participant Some Marie-Pierre Adriana shared her experience, stating that she chose the discipline of visual arts, which helped her enhance her skills in watercolor and drawing technique, areas she has cherished since childhood.

These training initiatives are a result of the Burkinabe government's vision, which, through a decree adopted on July 22, 2025, established the creation of jobs for masters, professors, and inspectors in artistic and cultural activities. This move supports educational activities within the Conservatory by integrating these roles into the interministerial directory of state professions.
