Ouagadougou: The provincial director of the National Police of Ioba, Chief Commissioner Souleymane Zouri, supervised the handover of the keys of the police station to the National Gendarmerie as part of the reorganization of the security system, AIB has learned. On this occasion, the police district commissioner of Dissihn, Police Lieutenant Gnougou Daourou, handed over the keys to the police station to Chief Warrant Officer Harouna Sawadogo, commander of the Dissihn territorial gendarmerie brigade.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony included a tour of the premises and grounds of the police station, followed by the signing of the handover reports by the two officials. The provincial director of the National Police in Ioba, Souleymane Zouri, offered advice to the police officers being redeployed to Gaoua, the capital of the Djoro region. He also encouraged Brigade Commander Harouna Sawadogo and wished him success in his mission.
Security authorities have indicated that the demobilization of the National Police in the district of Dissihn is part of the implementation of the law on internal security in Burkina Faso.
