Thomas Sankara Memorial Committee Appoints New Regional Coordinator in Yaadga

Naaba kango: The Thomas Sankara International Memorial Committee (CIMTS) officially installed Seta Boulio as the regional coordinator of Yaadga during a ceremony in Naaba Kango, observed by AIB. The event took place in the reception hall of the Ouahigouya town hall and was attended by individuals dedicated to the ideals of President Thomas Sankara.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional office, led by primary school inspector Seta Boulio, consists of 16 members. Their mission includes promoting the memory of the Father of the Burkinabe Revolution through activities across the provinces of Loroum, Zondoma, Passore, and Yatenga. Dr. Jean Hubert Bazie, representing the CIMTS President Colonel-Major Daouda Traore, officially installed Boulio in the presence of local dignitaries, administrative members, and civil society representatives.

Dr. Bazie encouraged the regional office to enhance the memory of Thomas Sankara through various initiatives and mobilize resources for current and future projects. He also emphasized the importance of awareness campaigns, membership recruitment, and the establishment of clubs in schools. Seta Boulio, wearing his coordinator sash, acknowledged the challenges but expressed determination to honor the legacy of Thomas Sankara throughout Yaadga.

Boulio highlighted that Burkina Faso's current vision under the leadership of President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, presents an opportunity for the population, especially the new generation, to actively contribute. The installation ceremony was sponsored by Lt-Colonel Lassane Porgo, who urged members to engage more people in recognizing and promoting the ideals of Captain Thomas Sankara.
