Dankolon Public Primary School Reaps Sesame Harvest from School Field

Dankolon: Dankolon Public Primary School, located in the Basic Education District of Dokuy, has successfully harvested sesame from its school field. This activity took place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, as part of a presidential program aimed at fostering quality education and familiarizing students with vegetable production.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Karim Barro, the director of Dankolon Public Primary School, highlighted that the sesame production initiative is designed to assist parents in managing certain school-related expenses. Despite facing challenges such as a lack of necessary inputs to enhance production, the school still managed to achieve a harvest. This accomplishment underscores the dedication of the Dankolon educational community to integrate educational goals with local development projects.

Karim Barro emphasized the need for enhanced support from authorities and education partners to improve future outcomes. He expressed hope that with adequate provision of fertilizers and agricultural equipment, the yields in the coming years would align more closely with their goals.
