Naaba Koanga Implores Peace and Unity During the M?skiugou in Zandkom

Bam: Naaba Koanga, Dima of Rissiam, offered prayers for peace in Burkina Faso and for exemplary cohesion within communities during the celebration of Mskiugou held in Zandkom (Sabce), marking the end of the harvests.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was marked by the rituals of Kitse and Kinµdo and took place in strict accordance with customary formalities, attended by several high-ranking traditional chiefs. Among them was His Majesty El Hadi Ibrahima Daawa Soumah, King and Traditional Chief of the Republic of Guinea-Conakry.

The authorities of Rissiam welcomed the initiative of the 1st King and customary Chief of the Republic of Guinea, His Majesty El Hadi Ibrahima Daawa Soumah, who proposed the establishment of a memorandum of understanding between Rissiam and Conakry to strengthen cultural and traditional cooperation.

'I came to meet my brother and friend, Naaba Koanga, so that we could share our customary experiences. That is why I requested a memorandum of understanding between our two kingdoms,' said the Guinean sovereign, who was received with honor by the people and dignitaries of Rissiam.

Besides His Majesty Soumah, several renowned traditional chiefs, including Naaba Sigri of Sapone and Bazoule Naaba, took part in the celebration.

The spokesperson for the Dima, the Keog Naaba, recalled that the Mskiugou is an essential moment to consolidate unity and honor the ancestors within the kingdom of Rissiam.
