Tenado: The gendarmerie brigade of Tenado delivered a strong message of meaning to the departmental high school of the same locality, during the traditional ceremony of raising the national colors on Monday, within the school establishment, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, under the chairmanship of the principal of the high school, Lassane Bagaya, the flag-raising ceremony welcomed a delegation from the Tenado gendarmerie brigade, led by Chief Warrant Officer Ousseni Billa.
The highlight of the ceremony was the prevention message delivered by the gendarmerie team. Adjutant-Chief Ousseni Billa used this platform to mobilize all the students to resolutely commit to a "war against drugs and narcotics."
The law enforcement representative clearly outlined the harmful consequences of consuming illicit substances (drugs, narcotics, shisha) and alcoholic beverages (specifically citing Vodys). He stressed that these practices are not only a danger to individual health, but also a scourge threatening the integrity of the school environment and social cohesion.
Reminding everyone of the illegal and reprehensible nature of consuming these substances, Chief Warrant Officer Billa urged the students to demonstrate exemplary personal discipline and reject negative influences. He encouraged the school community to report anyone engaging in such acts, reiterating his plea with a concise statement: "Stay natural, no drugs or Vodys."
This awareness session is directly in line with national directives from the highest authorities of Burkina Faso, aimed at effectively curbing the problem of drug addiction in educational settings. The Tenado departmental high school, through the organization of this meeting, confirms its unwavering commitment to maintaining the establishment as a safe, healthy space and eminently conducive to the academic success of its students.
