Sindou: The Head of the Sindou Basic Education District (CCEB), Emmanuel Sourabie, led a professional development day focused on introducing a new pedagogical method known as "thematic reading." The event took place on Thursday, January 15, 2025, with the intention of enhancing students' ability to read and fostering a love for reading.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the thematic reading approach is designed to guide learners towards developing a passion for reading. The training aims to improve the skills of educators in teaching reading, helping students not only to learn how to read but also to expand their general knowledge and use reading as a lifelong tool.

This new approach has been carefully crafted by the CEB's pedagogical support team. It seeks to address the observed decline in students' reading levels by equipping teachers with the necessary skills to improve literacy in the classroom.
