Mouhoun: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Ouarkoye municipality, Ganame Idrissa, conducted a tour on Friday, January 31, 2026, to present New Year's greetings to the traditional and religious authorities of the municipality. He took the opportunity to request their prayers for peace and social cohesion in the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the tour began with visits to the customary and religious leaders of the commune, allowing the delegation led by Ganame Idrissa to pay their respects to the canton chief as well as to the leaders of the different religious denominations. This was conducted in a spirit of respect for traditions and aimed at strengthening the links between the municipal administration and the local vital forces.
The municipal authority expressed, on behalf of the entire municipal administration, its gratitude to the traditional and religious authorities for their tireless efforts in favor of the return and maintenance of peace in the municipality. He also sought their blessings, prayers, and invocations to the spirits and ancestors, as well as to the Most High, with a view to consolidating the gains and preserving a climate of lasting social cohesion.
At the end of the tour, Mr. Ganame expressed his satisfaction with the smooth progress of the various meetings and commended the willingness and attentiveness shown by all the traditional and religious authorities. He also reaffirmed the municipal administration's commitment to working closely with the community's stakeholders to promote peace, tolerance, and social cohesion.
