Samendeni: The Technical Coordinator of the Presidential Initiative for Quality Education for All (IPEQ), Dr. Raymond OUOBA, handed over a 5-hectare site for the construction of a vocational high school specializing in the agro-sylvo-pastoral field this Friday in Samendeni, in the commune of Bama, Guiriko region.According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover of this site to the service providers follows the authorization granted by the Council of Ministers on January 22nd for the construction of specialized vocational high schools. The IPEQ Technical Coordinator stated that the realization of this project aligns with the vision of His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso and Head of State, to build vocational high schools near agricultural hubs like the one in Samendeni, enabling young people to specialize in production sectors.The training at this specialized vocational high school, with a national focus, will therefore be centered on agriculture, livestock farming, and aqu aculture. The aim is to raise the level of technical and vocational education and to ensure that young people are trained to support the economic and social development of Burkina Faso.The IPEQ Technical Coordinator indicated that the companies have six months to deliver the facility, which is due to welcome its first students at the start of the next academic year.The companies have committed to doing the necessary due diligence to deliver a quality infrastructure within the given timeframe.
