Boulgou/Rise of Color: Civics and Promotion of National Languages in the Spotlight in Zons©

Boulgou: The Diarra public primary school, located in the commune of Zons©, was the venue for the monthly ceremony of raising the national colors this Monday, presided over by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), Ou©draogo Wendinmi Fr©d©ric. The ceremony commenced with the raising of the national flag, accompanied by the national anthem, the Ditany¨, sung by students in the Bissa language. This initiative underscores the educational authorities' dedication to fostering national languages while reinforcing patriotic values within the school setting.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event attracted significant figures from the community, including customary and religious leaders, administrative and educational officials, as well as students from the host institution. This turnout highlighted the collective commitment to republican ideals and social cohesion.

Chief Inspector Tobour© Yigo of the Zons© Basic Education District (CEB) addressed the gathering, urging students and teachers to transform the school into a hub of civic education, discipline, and the promotion of national values. He stressed that education is a vital tool for cultivating responsible and engaged citizens who are committed to the progress of Burkina Faso.

The President of the Special Delegation, in his address, reiterated that the flag-raising ceremony is a significant act of civic duty, patriotism, and social cohesion. He linked this activity to the broader popular revolution initiated by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, aimed at creating a sovereign, united, and prosperous nation.

The President encouraged the students to embody daily values of unity, solidarity, tolerance, integrity, and civic responsibility, which are critical for harmonious coexistence and sustainable development. Inspector Tobour© Yigo translated the various speeches into the Bissa language, ensuring that all participants could comprehend the messages effectively.
