Houet: The second edition of the P©ni inter-school football tournament was officially launched on Saturday, January 24, 2026, on the town's football field, in the presence of local authorities and youth stakeholders.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch ceremony was attended by the second vice-president of the Special Delegation of the municipality of P©ni, Korogo Belemsigri. The event was held under the patronage of the president of the P©ni Village Development Council (CVD), Sibiri Ouattara, who praised the initiative and encouraged young people to cultivate, through sport, the values of social cohesion and fair play.

The field also served as the venue for the launch of a fundraising campaign for the presidential initiative "D¨m¨ Siiira," aimed at strengthening solidarity and community engagement.

On the sporting front, the opening match pitted the P©ni Departmental High School (LDP), wearing green and red jerseys, against the Private Friendship High School. The LDP emerged victorious with a decisive 3-0 win.

Organized by the P©ni Young Builders Association, this competition, now in its second edition, brings together four schools from P©ni and Noumouadara. Its aim is to promote school sports and community spirit among young people.
