Koulpelogo: End of Six Weeks of Civic and Patriotic Education for 523 Students

Koulpelogo: The Cinkanse high school, located in the commune of Yargatenga, hosted this Saturday the ceremony marking the end of the six-week session of civic and patriotic education, for the benefit of 523 students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the six-week training program involved 523 students, including 237 girls and 286 boys. Participants received theoretical and practical instruction focused on civic and patriotic values, solidarity, living together, preventing violence in schools, combating drugs and drug addiction, and promoting individual and collective hygiene.

The ceremony was attended by the representative of the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Yargatenga, the representative of the Provincial Director of Post-Primary, Secondary and Vocational and Technical Education of Koulpelogo, the commander of the gendarmerie brigade of Cinkanse, the heads of schools, members of the school council, parents of students, and the FDS.

On behalf of the participants, Gontran Segda, a student in his final year of high school (Terminal D), expressed his gratitude to the administrative, educational, and military authorities for the initiative. He stated that the session allowed them to better understand respect for the laws, institutions, and symbols of the state, as well as the importance of civic engagement.

The students were also introduced to close-order drills, including standing at attention, resting, line and column formations, changes of direction, and marching in step. A practical demonstration was conducted during the ceremony.

The principal of Cinkanse High School, Idrissa Bassa, praised the support provided by the supervisors and urged the students to put the lessons they had learned into practice. The representative of the PDS, for his part, congratulated the students on their discipline and encouraged them to become responsible citizens committed to the development of the country.
