Tenkodogo: The town hall of Bondigui hosted, this Monday, the monthly ceremony of raising the national colors, in the presence of the directors and heads of departmental services as well as agents of the forestry service.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was chaired by the Secretary General (SG) of the town hall, Corneille Zoungrana, and took place in a spirit of solemnity and patriotism, reflecting the attachment of the workers to the symbols of the Nation. Following the playing of the national anthem and the raising of the flag, the Secretary General recalled the national context, marked by the need to consolidate civic responsibility, strengthen social cohesion, and promote respect for the symbols of the Republic. To this end, he urged all public servants to demonstrate greater commitment, rigor, and dedication in carrying out their duties for the benefit of the people.
Mr. Zoungrana also informed the participants of the official visit of the Governor of the Djoro region, Siaka Barro, scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026, to the commune. This first visit by the head of the regional executive to Bondigui will be an opportunity to engage with local stakeholders in order to gather their concerns and contributions for the development of the community.
In this perspective, preparatory meetings will be organised to ensure a substantial mobilisation and a welcome commensurate with the event, he specified. Established every first Monday of the month, the raising of the colours aims to revive the patriotic spirit of public servants, to promote unity and to strengthen the spirit of teamwork, responsibility and public service within administrations.
The next ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the Wan General Education College (CEG). In closing the meeting, the Secretary General thanked all participants for their strong commitment and invited them to continue their efforts in service of community development.
