Koosin: The president of the alumni association of the Charles Lwanga College (CCL), Roger Bambara, stayed from Friday 13 to Friday 19 March 2026, in the said college, to get a feel for the students' working conditions.
According to Burkina Information Agency, newly elected president of the Charles Lwanga College (CCL) alumni association for a two-year term, Roger Bambara, a member of the 1980-1984 graduating class, visited the college from Friday, March 13th to Friday, March 19th, 2026, to familiarize himself with the students' learning environment.
Welcomed by the headmaster, Brother Esa Ky, Mr. Bambara arrived with donations of books, balls, and a trophy for inter-class competitions, all for the benefit of the students. He needs to experience the current realities firsthand in order to develop a coherent program of activities.
Accompanied by members of the Nouna branch, the president of the alumni association visited, among other things, the existing infrastructure: the school garden, the library, the sports fields, the classrooms, and the podium, in order to learn about the school's challenges. A meeting with the administration provided a better understanding of their priorities.
Roger Bambara also visited Ms. Sanogo, a doughnut vendor since the school's inception, affectionately known as "Madame Frou-Frou" by the students. For him, this was an opportunity to appeal to alumni of goodwill to reflect on past years and rekindle the spirit of Lasallian solidarity.
"This is an opportunity for us to present our difficulties and also to know that people of goodwill are thinking of us," he said. 'We also pray for all those who have gone before us to the afterlife, that they may rest in peace,' said Brother Esai Ky.
The student body's general delegate, Hermann Pare, indicated that President Bambara's visit is an example for the students. 'We should be grateful to Charles de Nouna College for its role in training and education, and for its contribution to building a just and prosperous society,' he stated.
The current board, elected at the last general assembly, intends to revitalize the various sections of the Badenya alumni association so that the association can fully play its role in supporting the different stakeholders involved in promoting Charles Lwanga College.
