The Special Delegation of Tenkodogo Provides Vital Food Aid to Vulnerable Populations

Boulgou: The special delegation of the Tenkodogo municipality distributed 18 tons of food aid to vulnerable people and social organizations in the area on Thursday morning. This highly symbolic gesture, on the eve of Ramadan, reflects the commitment of the municipal authorities to strengthening solidarity and social inclusion.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was chaired by the High Commissioner of the Boulgou province, Dom¨gb¨gui¨re Constantin Dabire, and brought together administrative authorities, community actors, and beneficiaries with a shared goal: to leave no one behind. The donation, consisting of rice, corn, sugar, and oil, was directed towards various social and humanitarian structures, including the prison and correctional facility, the Saint-Joseph center, the widows and orphans of the FDS, and host families caring for internally displaced persons and children in difficult situations.

Sami Berenger Pooda, president of the special delegation (PDS) of Tenkodogo, highlighted that this initiative forms part of the national solidarity effort and contributes to the implementation of government priorities, notably axis 4 of the National Development Plan. He emphasized the importance of supporting institutions and organizations dedicated to the well-being of vulnerable individuals and noted that this action aims to allow beneficiaries to celebrate Ramadan in more dignified conditions while enhancing the local social fabric.

High Commissioner Dom¨gb¨gui¨re Constantin Dabire remarked that this initiative embodies the government's commitment to fostering an inclusive society where every citizen matters. He encouraged others to increase their acts of solidarity and congratulated the beneficiaries, urging them to promote a spirit of sharing within their communities.

Bilarga Mano, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the donors, acknowledging the positive impact the aid will have on their families during Ramadan.

The special delegation in Tenkodogo aims to prioritize solidarity in its budget over the long term. Discussions were held about strengthening support for social structures and the Defense and Security Forces, in a context marked by security and humanitarian challenges. Local authorities, by reaffirming their commitment to the most vulnerable, are demonstrating a vision of a united, resilient community working towards a more supportive future.
