Burkina Faso: Endeavour Mining to Inject 210 Billion into Public Revenue by 2025

Ouagadougou: Endeavour Mining, a prominent West African gold producer, has announced its plan to reinvest over 1,500 billion FCFA in the economies of host countries, including a direct contribution of 210 billion FCFA to Burkina Faso's public revenues by 2025. This investment comes in the wake of the company's production of 1.209 million ounces of gold for the fiscal year 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Endeavour Mining's production for 2025 amounted to 37.6 tonnes of gold, achieved at a total sustaining cost of $1,433 per ounce. The company's contribution of 210 billion CFA francs to Burkina Faso's public revenue underlines its commitment to the region's economic development. The results are bolstered by efficient operational management, securing Endeavour Mining's status as the leading regional producer and maintaining its position among the top ten gold producers worldwide.

Ian Cockerill, chairman and CEO of Endeavour Mining, described 2025 as "a record year," noting the advantageous gold market conditions that led to robust financial outcomes and enhanced contributions to host economies. The company's reinvestment strategy involves channeling 72% of its revenue, amounting to over 1,500 billion FCFA, into national economies. This includes tax payments, local business purchases, employee salaries, and community investments, benefiting over 1,200 local suppliers.

In Burkina Faso, Endeavour Mining's initiatives have supported education and social inclusion programs. The "Gold Nuggets" program recognized 594 students, while the Day of Educational Excellence aided 144 beneficiaries near the Mana mine. The girls' education initiative currently assists 74 students, and 3,000 students in Hounde received education on reproductive health with the help of 17 school clubs.

Healthcare and environmental projects also form part of Endeavour Mining's local efforts. Screening campaigns have reached 2,117 people, and 3,000 employees and partners at the Hounde site participated in Health, Safety, and Environment Days focused on risk prevention and compliance with international ISO standards. These efforts have earned the company national accolades, including the Local Content Award at SAMAO.
