Ouagadougou: The special delegation of the municipality of Zambo, in partnership with the Mann-Go association, organized a training workshop on human rights for the benefit of local actors, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the special delegation of Zambo, Badini Tassere, presided over this 48-hour training session. Participants in the workshop included heads of departmental services, presidents of village development committees, and religious and traditional authorities.
In his opening address, Mr. Tassere paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland for their efforts in preserving national stability. He commended the collaboration with the Mann-Go association, specifically its national executive secretary, Alain Kpoda, who volunteered his time to provide training for his community. According to him, this initiative is part of the response to current challenges related to local development and contributes to the peace process.
During the training, participants were equipped on the triple Nexus (Humanitarian-Development-Peace) through the PARLE approach, with modules focused on ethical and technical aspects, integrating human rights into sustainable local development planning.
The discussions allowed participants to deepen their knowledge, with answers provided to all the concerns raised. The training received an average rating of 4.46 out of 5, reflecting the overall satisfaction of the participants. Certificates were awarded to participants at the close of the workshop. Mr. Kpoda also officially presented the charter of commitment to the Triple Nexus, centered on a human rights-based approach.
At the end of the training, the participants expressed the wish to see such initiatives multiply in the commune of Zambo.
